One particular information exchange solution that OTS has pioneered in recent years is the Information Transmission Machine (ITM), more commonly known as the Information Kiosk. ITMs include all manner of information distribution systems utilized at hotels, airports, visitor centers, etc. (but excluding Automated Teller Machines or ATMs).
Currently, OTS is completing a multi-year project for the development and installation of Grave Locator ITMs at all National Veterans Cemeteries in the United States. These units, available for use all hours of the day, allow visitors to locate specific grave sites and obtain a map of the cemetery, even after official hours of service. These systems have application to numerous situations. OTS is able to supply customized software applications and offers remote system maintenance and three-year warranty of these units.
Building on this project, OTS has developed its standard line of "OptimalTouch Kiosks" included in our GSA schedule and described in the appendix to this Profile. Kiosks are the future of public information access systems. Their potential applications are endless, from airports to national parks. Each Kiosk is self-contained, weather resistant and linked by network or Internet to OTS Technical Services Department for regular maintenance. OTS ITMs offers utilize state-of-the-art touch screens, and also offer voice-activated functionality and are completely compliant with requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
